Left Ellensburg on the day after graduation to take the three day drive to Baton Rouge, LA. Can you imagine a freshly graduated kid on a cross country adventure like that alone? I was scared to death, but lived to tell the tale!
Got a job to work my way through college at Louisiana State University. (LSU - Geaux Tigers!) It took me awhile, but I was busy taking in the college life also.
After graduation I stayed to work some more, and eventually met the love of my life! A nice cajun boy from Opelousas, LA - Scott Chachere.
We were married in 1987 and made Baton Rouge our home. In 1991 we welcomed the arrival of a girl (Catherine Nan), and in 1993 a boy (Jon Scott, II) Both kids are wonderful individuals, in high school, and participate in many organizations including the marching band.
In 2001, we hopped down the Interstate to Denham Springs, LA to take advantage of the exceptional public school system.
I work in the chemical industry in Human Resources. I specialize in Training, Development and Learning Management Systems.
Now I'm dreaming of retirement!
